We had our gathering this evening. It was lovely to be together and walk in the garden. Ann Galkowski has requested our prayers for her niece who has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and will be operated on tomorrow. Please keep Ann and Sophie and their family in your hearts and prayers. You can send some love to Ann at Amski1965@yahoo.com.
with much love and the gentle llullaby of the crickets for you,
Thank you so much for all of your well wishes for my niece as well as helpful information regarding her care. She has decided to have surgery tomorrow with the doctor who diagnosed her, and to follow up with the oncologist Dr. Legare afterwards with the “plan” of radiation in 10-12 weeks. Apparently the lymph nodes involved are in her neck and so they feel her prognosis is good.
She is quite optimistic and hopeful, wanting to ‘get this done so she can go on and enjoy her summer’ with her 3 and 6 year old children. I admire and appreciate her 25 year old spirit and am doing my best to follow suit. If you would please keep her in your prayers, in the light, in positive energy, however you see what is best for her and her healing. Of course we are biased in that we want her to do great and be enjoying things right away.
I have a big family, so it is not possible to be close to all of my nieces and nephews. Sophie, however, is one who lived with me from time to time and I have many memories of her looking back at me from the crib and playing with her through the years. This is quite the yoga exercise for me of doing my best and letting go of the results.
Wishing all of you all the very best on this beautiful day.
