I am solid as a mountain,
I am firm as the earth.
I am free.

Dear Friends,

I hope this finds you maintaining your stability and enjoying these crisp moonlit nights.

This is a reminder that we will be meeting tomorrow evening at 6:30  p.m. at St. Matthew’s Church in West Barrington. We will enjoying stopping together amid the hustle and bustle of this holiday season….with our usual sitting/walking/sitting meditation, a recitation of the trainings and focus on the Fifth Training (mindful consumption — as it applies to the three poisons about which the Buddha taught) and Dharma sharing. I hope that you will be able to be with us. It is always a delight to be able to be together.

Generations Sangha The Generations Sangha will be meeting every second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon at the Westminster Unitarian Church in East Greenwich. We met last weekend and had a really good time…singing, dancing, sharing some tea and cookies as well as the Dharma. It is open to all ages and that
describes those attending so far!

Please also remember that Thay’s talks from the winter retreat are available on tnhaudio.org and pvom.org. The monastics at Deer Park also offer teachings online during winter retreat. They can be accessed at deerparkmonastery.org. go to the “teachings” link and then scroll down to” Moment by Moment.”

New Year Ceremony The Clear Heart Sangha will once again host a New Year Ceremony on Sunday, January 1. This is when we honor our ancestors…bring their photos for the altar and have a bell meditation to ring in the new year. Everyone is invited to bring a bell and one to share if they have one. I hope you can join us.

I hope that you are finding peace and joy in this holiday season and I hope that you will be able to be with us tomorrow night.

with much love and the luminosity of the earth glowing in the moonlight for you,
Joanne
