Sangha Updates for Clear Heart and Clear Path Sanghas 3/29/13

Happy Easter, Happy Passover, Happy Springtime!

Here is the secret of my happiness:
I keep the mouth of my little self closed
And the heart of my big Self open.
– Sri Chinmoy
On a day
when the wind is perfect
the sail just needs to open
and the love starts.
Today is such a day.
-Rumi

Out beyond ideas of
wrong-doing and right-doing
there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase, each other
doesn’t make any sense.
Rumi
Dear Friends,

I hope you are well and enjoying a wonderful holiday…whichever one you might be celebrating…Easter, Passover …..and/or the coming of Spring. It is a time of rebirth, resurrection, new beginnings and love. Such a miracle…this world in which we live! We have heard the peepers this last week, the woodcocks are exuberantly doing their mating dances, and the osprey have returned! All is most definitely right with the world.

For the Clear Heart Sangha

Just a reminder that this being the fifth Sunday of the month, there will be no meeting this Sunday evening. There will be one next week at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of South Kingstown at the Lily Pads on North Rd. in Peace Dale at 6 PM. I hope you can join us.

For the Clear Path Sangha

It was lovely to be able to be together on Wednesday evening. I hope you are all cultivating the paramitas of  generosity, patience, the Five Trainings and diligence to transform all of your unskillful states of mind into joy! We did a survey of the group and found that almost everyone will be away on April 10so there will be no meeting of the Clear Path Sangha on that evening…but we will reconvene on April 24, at the Westminster Unitarian Church in East Greenwich at 6 PM. I hope you will be able to join us then.

Please remember…the RI Community of Mindfulness is organizing a retreat for us from May 17 to the 21st. Registration forms and information are available at http://www.joannefriday.com.

And thanks to the generosity of Rob Sutphen, a former URI student who sat with us, but is now living out of state, there has been a new talk uploaded to the joannefriday.com website. He did the sound  editing for us. Thank you, Rob!

May you and yours be happy, healthy fearless and at peace and
May you let all of the blessings flow through you so that you become a blessing to everyone you touch!

with much love, many hugs and the lullaby of the peepers for you,
Joanne
