The artist is the confidant of nature,
flowers carry on dialogues with him
through the graceful bending of their stems
and the harmoniously tinted nuances of their blossoms.
Every flower has a cordial word which nature directs towards him.
Bread feeds the body, indeed, but flowers feed also the soul.
You can’t be suspicious of a tree,
or accuse a bird or a squirrel of subversion
or challenge the ideology of a violet.
~Hal Borland, Sundial of the Seasons,
(what a relief! – me)
I hope this finds you well and setting aside suspicions, accusations and ideologies so that you can let your soul glory in the miracles of this springtime.
This will be a very brief update…
Just a reminder that there will be a gathering this Sunday at 6 PM at our home. There will be sitting/walking (outdoors- weather permitting) /sitting meditation, Richard will be facilitating and there will be a sharing of the Dharma. It should be wonderful. I hope you will be able to be there.
In the meantime, enjoy!
with much love and many hugs,
